To identify your unknown device, try this:
Start-Programs-Accessories
both four digits long.
Look up those numbers here:
http://www.pcidatabase.com
This will tell you the manufacturer and the chip number. First port of call is the manufacturer's website. If no joy there, try a driver database like Driverguide:
http://www.driverguide.com

PCI device unknown would tell me that it is sound card with extra functioniong hardware attached to it (ie modem blaster) Go to dell website, enter serial number or express code and it will tell you exactly what drivers you need. download aach and save to downloads folder, (you may want to renname thme as you dowenload them. Dell irks me with the naming convention of the drivers because how the hell do you know if xx1234 is a sound driver or video (soryy I was ranting) Anyway, download all the drivers for your unit and install, you cant go wrong
