I would have to recommend a MAC, but it all depends on what you want to do with the machine? What applications do you want to use and what is the machine going to be used for?

I am system administrator in an educational institute. I am looking for some High Processor Graphics Machine (Computer) that can run higher graphics applications simultaneously and can process faster than normal Pentium series PCs.
I also need some information about these: Flatbed Scanner with at least 4800 dpi, and
Color Laser Printer that supports heavy paper (minimum 220 gr)
The Scanner and Laser Printer will also be used in Graphics department and they should be perfect in performing their job
.
Of course, there is no financial bar, but if something is costly then it should also comply with the requirements and of course, nobody will be happy to invest more than needs.
So please suggest me the latest and the best according to you. It will be better if the products come from hp, dell or any other well known brand.
We are in hurry to make a demand/purchase order so please take it urgent.
Thanks,
Hemant

Konica Minolta MFPs offer 600dpi per colour RGB scanning, and 600dpi,per colour CMYK 8bit (256 power levels per dot) printing.
That is per colour, not per page.
As for 4800 dpi, I don't think any scanners offer that at genuine optical resolution, usually interpolation is used.
With a fiery controller, they can offer true postscript, Pantone emulation, and other features.
As for the computer, it depends on the application.
