Is this possible?
Please understand that I'm not looking for a VOIP solution, just a way to plug my POTS phone line into my pc and use it that way.

Also (in Win XP) you can use MS Dialer.
Start -> Run -> dialer.exe
Your modem does have to be a voice modem though. Otherwise a VOIP solution might better suit you.

Thanks for the help, but the first solution had to do with ISDN, the second had bad links and the third is just impractical.
What I need is software which will allow me to place and answer calls thru my PC, and NOT require voip or isdn. Ideally, the software will be low priced, and have voice mail capabilities.
As long as the modem in your system is voice capable you can use classic phone tools.
