That would depend on which bios your dealing with.... Why dont you just replace the battery? It would probably be easier than searching for a work around.
Here are some cmos batteries.... Nearly every pc i have had has the first disc looking one for $3 (You want to verify this before you order though)

Use linux so you don't have to reboot it ;) Sorry I'm not great in low level hardware.
I would look in the BIOS settings itself and try and see if there is anything in there that you can do. If all else fails, you can go to radio shack, pick up a button, a battery pack, a motor, and enough wire to get to the basement (or get the cat5 or rj11 connections so you can wire through phone/LAN) and trigger the button to press the F1 key down ;)
