Icons are blank

I was installing some items on my vista machine and now some of my icons have gone blank. I cannot start a program containing a blank icon. I have tried deleting the IconCache file, switched from 32 to 16 back to 32 bit color. Installed TuneUp and tried to fix it using the tools, but nothing has worked. Is there anything else I can try to get the right icons back?
