Browse All TopicsI have a HP Pavilion N5130 notebook that won't allow me to completely wipe out the partitions. I used multiple Windows boot disks, in order to use Fdisk.exe, but all generate the same error message: unable to access drive 1.
How can I wipe this bugger clean?

You may have a hardware problem. What caused you to want to wipe the drive? HP probably supplied you with a recovery CD that restores everything to factory settings/original state. Restoring that image would do a sector copy, which would wipe all of your data and any changes you have made to the laptop. Have you tried that? It's kinda drastic, but would do what you request.
