ECS l7s7a2 agp problems

I recently bought a system with an Athlon Xp 2000+ chip, a ecs board, 256 333ddr and a 60 gig hd. I put it all together and noting worked, it had a strage pattern of beeps that didnt match any patterns in my book. The video card that i bought a xfs 5200fx 128 ddr supposidly was know for its problems. I tryid a pci card and it worked fine. I reterned the card and bought a chaintech geforce 4 mx440 64 meg card, i put it in and the same beeps occured. The motherboard book says that it only supports 1.5 volt agp cards, do you think that this is the problem?? Are any of these 1.5 volt cards? The pci card didnt work good either, textures in the some games didnt show up. THe pci card that i was using was a verto mx200 32 meg card. What do all of you think?
