I am running a NT machine with a Matrox G450 dual moniter card. The way I currently have the desktop set up is that the startmenu etc. &quot;stretch&quot; from one moniter to the other...this seems to be desirable from what I have been reading. The problem with this is all my messages and program alerts pop up in the middle between the two moniters and if I want to maximize something I have to manually stretch it to fill one screen.<br />

I was wondering if I could configure this card, possibly through some software, as so that it behaves like two sepperate desktops as would be the case if I just installed two sepperate cards...that way I could drag things between the moniters but still maximize windows and programs would be confined to one moniter at a time and not stretch halfway between two...but still be able to move the windows themselves between one or the other.
