Can't delete messeges or expand collapasable menus

I have a 1 ghz Pentium III with 256 megs of ram but recently the follwing problems have surfaced.  When checking my mail at Yahoo I cannot delete messages and when I try to compose an email the text area is grayed out.  Also, when on sites that have collapseable menus when I click on the  + sign nothing happens. Could something be wrong with the memory?  Another strange consideration is that these things just started happening when I moved my computer to a different room in my house.  The older pc that used to be in this room did the same things that I listed above, and now that a newer machine is in this room it is doing the same thing-- which seems a bit weird and ironic because nothing that was connected to the older pc is connected to this one. I assume that is just a coincidence.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Wouldn't hurt for you to clean  out your cache, temp files etc .  If problem persists Try a different browser... opera, netscape, etc..... see if the problem goes away.

If problem goes away with a different  browser, try a repair/reinstall of the browser that's giving you problems.               Sounds like a software thing.

IE - tools - inet options
 - adv tab - click restore defaults
 - set cookies to default as well = medium
 - gen tab - click delete cookies, clear history, & delete files

Open Windows Explorer - expand in left pane to c:\windows\temporary internet files, hit shift + * on numkeypad to expand all of its subdirs - if there are any files still in there or any of its subdir's - delete them.

IE repair
cntl panel - open add/rem pgms - select IE6 - click add/rem - select Repair - click OK.

What are you using to connect to the Internet?

If it is connected through a router switch or hub it could be bad or the network cable is bad
