What is page_fault_in_nonaged_area

My computer keeps restarting, while i'm working on it. Just for no reason. I decided to buy a new hard disk and tried to install XP on it again. It keeps restarting while i'm trying to install XP. I finally managed to get xp installed. Now while im using it, it just restarts or go to the blue screen. I have taken out all the pci cards and this is a new hard disk.... i cant understand what the problem could be...i get the blue screen sometimes and sometimes it just restarts. When i get the blue screen this is the errors i get page_fault_in_nonaged_area. Sometimes i get 0x00000050 or 0x00000024 or 0x00000020

Here are some links to get you started.

Is this a new, clean install or an upgrade?  Which version?
Stop 0x00000024 or NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM
The Stop 0x24 message indicates that a problem occurred within Ntfs.sys, the driver file that allows the system to read and write to NTFS file system drives. A similar Stop message, 0x23, exists for the file allocation table (FAT16 or FAT32) file systems.

Also appears to have some driver errors/problems.

Hopefully with more input from you after checking these out, we can narrow the scope.

May also help to know which MB and BIOS, in case a BIOS updated is needed and if you've had memory errors before.

ASKER

Its a new clean install..new hard disk - i formatted it and installed XP
Did you then go to WindowsUpdate to get patches?  Did you see any problems in Event Logs?  Specific additional error messages?  Tried checking again in SAFE MODE/Network enabled and Admin?

Hey guys, i'm sorry i havent responded. Its a lil difficult to get online when ur comnputer freezes and restarts every 5 mins. asteac i dont think its a patch issue. It kept on giving me the blue screen while i'm trying to install windows. I bought a good copy of windows. Bought a new hard disk. Its not spy ware or anything...my guess is it s the bios or memory  or mother board? I'm researching more with what people have told me ....thanks for ur help.
Its an AMD and i'll get u details by tom as i am not with it now. Thank you
Might want to check the website for your Motherboard for any related MB system driver updates or BIOS updates, if problem still persists; and ensure that memory modules are compatible and not mismatched.  MB manual or website should give details about your MB.  I ran the Upgrade Advisor prior to installing the first Windows XP system, and was helpful in terms of HW and for ugrade purposes, SW as well.  Here are some links....

thank you - I might have to do that. It still doesnt work - i just gave you  your points cos i had the question open for so long. Sorry bout that.
Thank you, will listen further if you wish to pursue this more (when time permits).... also busy at work.  ":0) Asta
Thank you - I got a laptop, so i'll at least have a computer to check for help here and research...it sucked cos i couldnt even get online for more than a minute b4 it restarts.
Can't get to WindowsUpdate either for further checks?  Stop errors can often be memory problems; any chance that you have mismatched memory modules or perhaps one needs to be reseated?
At work, but searched XP for similar problems, here are some links in the hopes they help you.

I didnt add any new drivers before this started happening. I changed the memory stick - i have just one. It didnt solve the problem. My old memory stick works on other computers. It does the same thing in safe mode. Even when i boot with a windows CD and try a new install. Restarts while formating usually or while copying files b4 install starts.
I just found out that the fan on  my NorthBridge Controller has stopped. Could this be the problem?
Definitely!  Overheating ... .bad news; can fry many components.
shoot - the fan stopped, i hope its just restarting as a precaution not that i  that i'm fried it.
Abit where among the first to fit a Fan on the Northbridge chipset, they set the trend, now heatsink and fans are common on nearly every recent motherboard Northbridge controller. The fan keeps the Northbridge cooler and adds stability at the higher bus speeds offered on the newer boards. . . .  Might want to do a google search for your area or specific controller to check further.  I've no time today but hope to check back tomorrow.
I put a fan on it - It still does the same thing. Maybe i blew the chip?
