When trying to install the drivers for the network card the error message is "Installation failed... System cannot find the device specified"
When I go into Device Manager and click on Network Adapter, the network adapter card in there but has an exclamation point (!) next to it, as though there is some issue.
I have re-installed windows 2000 (updated) to no avail. I am not at liberty to reformat the disk and re-install everything as I have no way (at the moment) to back up the system.
Any ideas???

Only thing that comes to mind is go to control panel.. click add new hardware.. click next.. it probably will say it found no new hardware... Choose you have already connected the hardware... It will give you a list of hardware.. look for one on top with a question mark.. (or something that refers to D-Link).. then click next.. it will say the error is there are no drivers installed.. click finish.. it will bring you to a wizard to add the new drivers..
I apologize if this does not work.. I am typing that based off of my memory. That is what I could think of.. I hope at helps.. if not.. hopefully someone else can.
