I would like to upgrade the CPU, (i wish to use it as a low-traffic server) but am not sure as to exactly what the motherboard will support.
Here is what i know: (but not for sure :( )
Socket 7 support Intel® Pentium® processor with MMXTM technology.
The Cyrix® 6x86L/6x86MX and AMD® K6/K6-2/K6-III processors are also
supported.
100/95/83.3/75/66MHz clocks are supported.
What does this mean i can get, without losing too much performance due to motherboard restraints? (i am on a low budget, BTW)
Thank you for your time.

Fastest socket7 processor is K62+ @ 5,5 X 100MHZ 550 Mhz ,maybe also a K63 is available but they also top out at 500 because at 600 MHZ is was the spitfire which is socket A.
So its probably not worth it.
