Office work stations with a DVD player????? "Hey guys we're watching "Van Helsing" in my cube at 2 PM, who's bringing the popcorn?"
All Sony writers faster than 40X, like the CRX320E have a one-touch switch between standard and turbo mode. In standard mode, the read and write speed is restricted to a maximum of 40X. Keeping the eject button pressed for 5 seconds, enables the turbo mode. Once that is done, the drive lets you read and write CDs at 48X and 52X. The mode automatically switches to standard, once you eject the CD.
CD-RWs can be burnt at a maximum of 32X or the media speed, whichever is lower. Use the Nero Info tool and set the speed listed on the package "before" putting the disk in the drive. Make sure you don't hold the eject button for more than a 4 seconds when opening the tray. 1X & 2X writting speeds are not supported on that drive. Nero is what comes with this drive, if your using In-CD or CD Extreme or B's gold you need software patches. Here's the master info link for that drive with all FAQ's and patches. You may want to do the Firmware upgrade first.

Your CDROM drives may be unable to read this particular brand of CD-RW. It is a common problem with CD-RW discs and I am not surprised, because they are usually readable only by certain burners.
