Can't find audio device after reinstalling windows XP

I reinstaled Windows XP and cannot now sound on my Sony Vaio Computer (Model PCV - 1136)

I have looked in System Information for Sound Device but none is listed.

What should I do?

Do you have an exclamation point in Device Manager with PCI Multimedia Controller?   If so, this is your sound card.   You need to install the drivers for it -- which should be on your restore CDs.

Post more details on exactly how you did the reinstall and I'll give you some more details.

this is a model PCV-RZ.... I think that is your model...   can you check the box for more numbers
