The refresh rate is set too high. Reduce it to 60 and it will work.

Browse All TopicsI have a LCD monitor Acer AL1722.
It is connected to two PC :
1) Windows 2000 with a video card with a DVI connection to the monitor
2) Windows XP with an anolog RGB connection to the monitor.
When I start the Windows 2000 PC, I always get the following monitor message "input not supported". Not a big deal except sometimes the image stays displayed only a few seconds, then dispearing and leaving a blank screen. Then it reappears for a few seconds, and so on.
With the analog connection I don't have any problem.
How can solve this problem?

thanks for the feedback.
1) The refresh frequency as stated by Windows 2000 is 60 Hz
(Menu: Monitor > Monitor Settings > Refresh Frequency )
2) The graphic card is an ASUS RADEON 9600XP
3) Cable of both monitors are connected permanently. Ususally only one PC is on.
4) This morning I started with the analog RGB PC: no problem. After a few hours started my Windows 2000 PC, changed the input source in the Monitor settings menu (as usual). But I did not get the "input not supported" message and the display is OK. I can switch from the digital input to the analog input without any problem (both PC are turn on).
I will try to find out the exact sequence of actions that causes the problem.

Has it been like this since you began using it with 2 PCs connected?
Is the screen supposed to work with sources connected to both inputs?
Did you try disconnecting the inactive (RGB) connection and see what happens?
