$80-$100 AGP video card recommendation wanted

I've got a P4 system currently with a 1.7GHz CPU, and a GeForce 3Ti video card. It's not quite pleasant for playing Doom 3, and I'd like to play a slightly more taxing game: Psychonauts... and maybe Half-life 2 some day.

I know the system needs a new CPU (and maybe someday I'll upgrade to 2.8GHz), but for now, I'd like a better (not awesome) video card, and I'd like to spend under $100.

Links to Doom 3 benchmarks for suggested candidates would be helpful. (And I wish I had found one for the Radeon 9250 before I bought it! I went from 16.2 FPS to 2.8.)

Take your pick: http://www.tomshardware.com/2003/12/29/vga_charts_iii/page7.html  Quake should be a good proxy for Doom.  If you can spend a little more for a Radeon 9800 Pro http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814153018&CMP=OTC-pr1c3watch&ATT=14-153-018, you will have a pretty good card that will last.

is slightly above your price range, but will give you better performance than a Radeon 9800, is still quite affordable, and should scale better than the Radeon on a faster CPU.

I hadn't realized the 6600 had dropped so much in price - I agree that it is a better value than the 9800 Pro.

I picked up an old nvidia ti4600 for 60 bucks, it was used and I don't know how available they are, but this card spanks a lot of newer 8x cards and plays doom3/quake4 great!
