Question

RADEON X700 VIDEO OUT???

Asked by: hauie

Hello all,

I have a Radeon X700 and i'm trying to get video out to my TV.  The connections i have are a regular VGA, a DVI and what I thought was an S-Video.  However, I went to connect the SVideo cable and the pinouts aren't even close.

The pinout on the Radeon X700 has the same shape as an Svideo but has 9 holes.  Two at the top, Four in the Middle and Three in the bottom.  Can anyone help me out to as what kind of connection this is and what kind of cable I need to ask for. I went to the Radio Shack (I guess its the Source now) and they had no idea even after I drew them a picture of it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

THANKS

Hauie

http://www2.ati.com/manuals/RadeonX700PCISeries.pdf
page 44 (pdf page #)
it's for hdtv cable

correction, the cable is apparently an ati adapter cable that will connect to the various configurations, including hdtv but also  s-video
(p 47 pdf)
if you don't have one, you can probably get it from ati, or ebay

Maramom

It seems like i need to get my hands on the proprietary cable. I bought the card used and got a great deal on it, but it only came with the card and the internal power supply nothing else. So it looks like I have to check ebay or track it down some other way.

Thanks again
