Thanks - the clue was to use an install CD with SP2.
Also, in the xw4300 BIOS, SATA emulation has to be set to IDE rather AHCI.
Seems to be working...

Browse All TopicsI have ended up with an xw4300 64-bit workstation (had to swap a 32-bit unit with a customer) and frankly the lack of driver support (esp. printers) is a royal PITA.
Does anyone know if it is posible to run the 32-bit version of XP on this platform (P4 3.8Ghz)?
I ran into a snag trying the install and wondered if anyone else has tried it?
