when i went to manufacturer site this is what they say
Our hard disk drives use the disk controller device drivers that are embedded within the operating system. Therefore, you don't need to download a driver. We do not provide these drivers separately, since the driver is already included as part of the operating system.
my problem is SATA HDD doesnt ditect in bios level for me to install the OS XP
my hdd specs are
HITACH deskstar 80 GB SATA
MODEL NO HDS728080PLA380
problem still remains

Are you installing Windows 2000 or Windows XP, if so when you boot to the cd press the F6 key and load the drivers for your SATA hard drive. You may first have to go to the hard drive manufacturers website and download the drivers.
