i wish to change the password on this server. I usually type "passwd" and enter the new password.
How can I set the passwd never to expire on this box, need this urgently, command only please

You can remove expiry date in the /etc/shadow file, please remeber to keep the ::.
min:max:wa rn:inactiv e:expire
40/nls_uni xpassworda ge1/ page_1 .html (You can also read part 2 &3 in the link)
the format of the /etc/shadow file is:
username:password:lastchg:
or
run the GUI tool "admintool" to set set the user account never expire.
