DVD Drive Missing

Both my DVD & DVD-RW Drives Access Is Missing and Messages Cite Error Code 39 After I Remove Easy CD Creator in Windows XP. I tried to uninstall them and reinstall in the Device manager and then I discovered that my Drives has vanished from my computer. When I go to "My Computer" The drive is not there, it's not in the device manager, and running the "Add Hardware Wizard" doesn't work.

I'm running Windows XP Professional, and I made sure that it is not the Drives that has the problem (I tried it on another computer and it works fine).

I also tried to follow the Microsoft Link (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=314060) but when I went in into the regedit and followed the steps Iit came up with the following error

"Both the upperfilters and lowerfilters registery values that can cause CD access problem do not exist on your computer"

Any ideas?
