does the drive show normally in the bios ?

Browse All TopicsReceiving this error message on a Dell Desktop after login. I click Ok, and then the computer never finishes booting up. It is like it is hung. I would appreciate some input before I start hacking around on the drive.

Do you happen to have Dell Open manage software installed on this machine? If so, I have seen this problem before and you will need to uninstall the open manage software. It is listed as OMCI in add/remove programs.
