If you were able to successfully boot and shut down before your power supply completely failed, then I wouldn't think that it would have had a chance to damage much.
I would start looking at the connections of your new power supply for possible problems. When you turn your computer on now, does it actually power on, and then not boot? If there is a boot problem, you should be getting beep codes from the BIOS. Is your case speaker working? When you boot, do you hear a single beep, or nothing? Did you hear the single beep on boot prior to the problems?
Make sure that you have supplied the correct power to your video card as well. Does it require any additional power connections?
