Asked by bleujaegel in Sun Microsystems Desktop Computers, Sun Solaris
I have a Sun Ultra 5 running Solaris 2.6. I need to clone the hard drive. Can this be done by slaving a hard drive to it and running a command? Currently, there are 2 IDE connectors. Unfortunately, the cable only allows one device per cable (1 HD, 1 CD-Rom). Can I disconnect the CD-Rom and attach the hard drive if there is a way to clone, or can I just grab a normal PC cable that allows 2 drive to be added to it and throw them both on there? What options do I have, and what is the safest method?
