SunRay Smart Card Help

Asked by paulbell716 in SmartCards & Readers, Sun Solaris, Sun Microsystems Desktop Computers

Hello all,

I apologize ahead of time if this does not make sense, but here is my situation. I am currently putting together a SunRay (Software ver 4) thin client solution that uses VMware VDI .We are using SmartCards , tied to Active Directory user accounts, which are working well....mostly.

When the card is inserted, the user name field is populated with the AD user name. The user then enters their password and the credentials are passed through to the virtual machine.

The problem is the user is able to delete the user name and log in as another user. is there anyway to lock this field, so only the assigned user can use this card?

Thanks,
Paul
