I've tried differant resolutions and it doesn't change the system, The screen isn't that blurry that I can't see it, it's justs like some one has put a light coating vaseline on the screen. It seems fine when playing films:

Are you sure you are running in the correct 1280x800 resolution it requires? Sounds like a defective display if it is blurry.
If you have an ATI or Nvidea card in there you can download their latest drivers and adjust gamma, color, brightness, contract, etc from the control center.
I would contact Dell support, or take it to a local Dell kiosk if you have one somewhere, and ask them to look at it.
