Our Hp computer in the factory shows a blank screen after bios load up screen when we boot the pc up. I have changed the vga cables and tried a good working monitor and still it displays a blank screen? Does this mean I have to purchase a new graphics card?
Many Thanks

Few other options for you
Put a graphics card in your computer & see how that goes.
try a monitor that can handle high resolutions & Hertz - if you have a low end monitor & changed your display setting to a very high setting the screen with just be black.
Only other thing I can think of right now is this.
I think it is an OS problem & a reinstall may fix it because you can still see the bios information & settings so that to me means your hardware is working. You also have not said there was any beeping on start up.
you can test if the video card is ok, by running from a live Knoppix cd :

you can also run a repair install : http://www.michaelstevenst

If you can see the BIOS deatils & all that stuff before the OS starts then you graphic card & monitor are works.
If you have onboard graphics you can remove your graphic card & try onboard just to make sure.
Did you make any changes to OS that may affect the start up?
Does the computer seem to be doing anything after the the start up screen go off?
