Here i go
i own a acer e700 inergrated grahics card intel g family card
it has vista 32 bit installed
2 gig ram
ok i bbought a compateble graphics card for this computer a ATI radeop hd 2400pro 256 ddr2 pci express
i installed the card turned the computer off opened etc ,installed new card ,made sure it was well seated and looked to see if it ran well the fan was working ok
SO proceeded to reboot computer,like instrutuions said and now i was thinking it was going to say new hardware found ,but it did`nt so read the book and now that i have a intergraded sound card i have to disable it ok, also i tryed to install the soft ware but it says no commponent found so ,im in a pickle here if i disable my graphics card and install my new soft ware like the book says ,and it dont work how do i re inable my old grapics card with out having no monitor hope you understad what im saying ,need help i want to hook up my pc to my new tv

Part of the advanced boot options on a boot sequence is enable vga mode which will allow you to see 640 by 480 resolution images. You get into advanced boot options often by tapping f8 key while going through the initial boot. This can vary form one oem to the next so check your manual. Before we go there though do you know how to boot into your acer's bios setup maybe f1 or 12?

You should go into your bios and see what hardware is detected there. If your pcie card detected? If not try disabling onboard graphics and reboot.

reset your bios - you can take the bios battery out for a minute, or use the jumpers; see proper procedure in the mobo manual

To get into bios we need to find out which key to tap right after you begin your boot. often, steadily tapping his key is needed as many bios verbose boots are covered with the oem's boot screen image. if you don't have your manual still you should be able to get it here. http://www.acerpanam.com/synapse/forms/portal20.cfm?website=AcerPanAm.com/us&siteid=7293&areaid=7&formid=3425#results. F1 f8 f12 are good candidates. Sometimes even the delete key. Check your documentation or download a new copy.
