One of the users gets no display when logged on, the message seems to say that the refresh rate of 120hz can't be displayed.
I think it's somehow got it's refresh rate set to an invalid value, how can i change it back? I can't do it the normal way because I can't see the screen to change the settings. In safe mode it doesn't let me change the refresh rate. Is there a config file where this can be changed?
BTW, the other users do get a display, including admin, they can change the refresh rate and can select 120hz, which cannot be displayed, I think someone changed to 120 then accepted the value.

turns out that it was an intel graphic accelerator which was changing the refresh rate soon after the user had logged on. Even if I rebooted in VGA mode, it changed the resolution and refresh rate - the solution I found was to disable the running of the intel process via the 'Run' option in the registry, then the user can log in.
Note, in safe mode I was given no option to select any other refresh rate.
Thanks for the input, but I've solved this one now.

In safe mode it does not let you change the rate? Sure? So what is happening?
The changes made in safe mode will apply at next reboot.
