How do I enable 3 displays on my Dell laptop with docking station?

Hi there,

I have a Dell Precision M4400 noteboox with a NVIDIA Quadro FX770M card (with the lastest drivers) and a corresponding Dell docking station (with the model number PR02X) with 2xDVI and 1xVGA port at the back.

I would like to have 3 displays setup, 2x external LCD screens (can be connected via 2xDVI or 1xDVI and 1xVGA) and the laptop display. I have tried using the Windows control panel option with no success, and the NVIDIA Control Panel software which detects the third display but doesn't let me enable it.

Is there a way that I can have this setup with the current hardware I have? FYI, I am using Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit.

Thanks.
Chris.

as far as i know u can only connect 2 screens at 1 videocard, in this case 2 X DVI or 1 X DVI and 1X VGA.

if u want to connect 3 screens i can suggest u the Matrox Triplehead2go. this can do the job u want it to do.

here is the link : http://www.matrox.com/graphics/en/products/gxm/th2go/

Regards.
