How do I repair/enable greyed out menu items in Office products?

I have a desktop PC running Win XP PRO SP 3. The user has a dual display with an nVideo Ge application controlling the display the way she likes it.

We installed new drivers today but every single application has menu options that are greyed out.  What could be causing this?

Try disabling Built in Toolbars on the Tools>Startup dialog.
