my dell d810 laptop using ati mobility x300 video card, when connected with BenQ projector, it does not detect each other
tried update video driver, Fn+F8 , they just dont see each other
but laptop works fine with another EPSON projector and that BenQ projector works fine with another Asus laptop.
the most weird part is that when under safe mode, they work fine, by pressing Fn+F8, screen shifts from laptop to projector.
does anyone know what causes it and the fix ?

when you are in safe mode the graphics driver is not being used. So I would look for an alternative graphics driver as this is most likely the source of the problem. Where did you download the update from?
This link is to an older driver from dell for you graphics card. I would uninstall the original driver first if possible and replace with this one.

plug the projector in to the vga connector on the back of the laptop and then right click on the desktop and select properties. Click on the settings tab, then clcik on the screen numbered 2 and tick the box 'extend my windows desktop on to this monitor' and click apply.
Does this make any difference?
When you hover over the screen numbered 2 what does the tooltip say - is it not active?
