I haven't had to take it apart yet...I unplugged everything and then shook it a bit. After plugging it back in, the lines appeared again at first but then eventually went away. The next time I turned it on, once again the lines appeared and then eventually disappeared. So I think you're on the right track, but I don't want to take it apart until I have to. I've had TV's with similar issues. And yes, they did get smacked on the side and that would temporarily clear the blurriness. Those systems had loose electronics/cabling. It sounds as if you may have something working itself loose in the projector. Especially if it happened after the unit was moved. If the case is accessible you might have a look inside and hand test the electronics for tightness.
