3 Monitors In HP Pavilion dv7-3065dx

I have a HP Pavilion dv7-3065dx laptop which has VGA and HDMI inputs.  Currently has laptop monitor (obviously) and VGA monitor connected - to make dual monitor display.  I tried to connect second monitor into HDMI port (to make 3 monitor display) but one monitor gets disabled (either VGA or HDMI) but both will not stay on.

I tried a VGA splitter but this only created a clone display of second monitor.

Is there a way to connect 3 monitors into this laptop?
Thanks.

If I get this: Matrox DualHead2Go
will this allow the laptop display and 2 monitors have extended displays?  I don't want clone display.
The matrox stuff makes either 2 or 3 monitors look like one monitor to the computer. So whatever you can do with one monitor you can do with 2 or 3 as if they were one.
Does this mean "clone display"?  I want to be able to have 3 monitor display at extended mode.  Which means, have 3 seperate programs running - 1 on each monitor.  I.E. Internet Browser on 1 monitor, Word processor on another monitor, and different program on 3rd monitor...

jamietoner: this doesnt make clone displays?  i dont want that.
USB adaptors are separate video cards basically. No 3d and you can't game but for office work they aren't bad.
aarontomosky: with usb adapter I can have laptop monitor and 2 extra monitors.  none will be cloned?
thanks...
It will give you a 3rd independent monitor and is cheaper than the matrox device. I have setup several for clients who needed an extra monitor on a laptop.
Yes, the USB adapter will give you another monitor. Some monitors actually have this built in. Its called displaylink (not displayport, that's just dvi with a funny connector)

The Matrox dualhead or triplehead seems like awesome solution , but way too expensive.  I will probably go with USB Video Adapter , only need it for basic stuff - like word processing , web browser ... def NO video ...

Thanks all once again ...
