Why does my LCD monitor keep blacking out?

I have a Mitsubishi LCD monitor that keeps going blank on me.  I can't really say when it occurs, but it seems like it could be related to coming out of standby, although I think it is just happening after a certain amount of time has passed.  All I can definitively tell you is that when it is black, you see nothing on the screen, although the green power light is lit as if it is working properly.  Also, ctrl-alt-del doesn't bring up anything, nor does the windows key.  Running XP pro.  Tried a new computer and still having the same problem.  When it is black, if I press the monitor's menu button, you can very faintly see the items like brightness, contrast, hzposition, etc.  If I turn the monitor off and then on again, it will come back and everything will display perfectly.

If it doesn't happen with a different model monitor, I would say this product is defective.  Did you try it with different video ports?

I wanted to take a moment and check back with you. Have the comments so far been successful at diagnosing your issue, or do you still require some further input?
