HD Video Card for PowerEdge 830 redux

I got the PCI Nvidia geforce 2 MX400 PCI card and it seems to be working.
But, the computer is confused it appears.
The motherboard has a 4:3 graphics capability but I wanted 16x9 capability.
So, I plugged in the Nvidia geforce 2 MX400 and now I have either 16x9 or 16x10 so, so far so good.
In the earlier question, I should have said: Windows 7 Pro 32 just to be complete.
I've not been able to find a driver for this old card.
So, it's "driverless" sort of.
I can't see where it shows up in the Device Manager.
I don't see a driver on www.geforce.com/drivers web page.
The automatic probe program doesn't work on this computer.
Yet, I've plugged the display into this card and it's working; as I said at 16x9 or 16x10. I think maybe it's 16x10 displayed on a 16.9 screen so circles look a tiny bit wide.
It would be nice to select the appropriate resolution / ratio but it looks like the only thing the computer knows about are the 4:3 resolutions and it's set now at 1024X768.
I remain amazed that I can see the 16x10 at all! I wonder if there's a way to change the settings on the Nvidia card?
Or, might someone suggest a better PCI card that can be used directly with Windows 7?

I don't see Windows 7 or even Vista (which sometimes works in Win 7) for the FX5500. XP is latest.
It does appear that the Radeon HD5450 is the best bet. But find one with plain vanilla PCI not PCI-e !!
This computer has a 5v 32-bit PCI slot so I guess it's also going to be compatible with a Universal 3.3v 5v 32-bit card format as well. That's what the needed card seems to have but finding one seems most elusive.
And, at that, I don't want to spend too much.

In theory geforce2 should be able to display HD picture (provided it has at least 32MB of vRAM) - just use tickmark that hides incompatible modes.
I saw your other cross-post. - you can buy any modern PCIe card and it will output HD at no pain. Why to seek PCI? Thats slow and costly.

Did you look at his specs; he has no PCIE X16 slots and finding a PCIE X1 card wouldn't be easy!

But FX5500 should be able to drive 1920x1080. Not HD video though

All I really care about is the format so a normal 16x9 computer screen wont have distorted still images.
I suppose that modern support software / tools should work as well like maybe DirectX.
But, HD format video at full resolution with no motion artifacts isn't a requirement.

Add resolution 32bit color 1920x1080 @ 60Hz (or whatever native resolution of your monitor is rounded down to divisible by 8)
Cross the fingers and try it (press appy and dont touch the keyboard - it will revert in 15s if it is not good)
While nvidia chip is perfectly capable of such display, analogue circuitry around VGA port may not be wise enough.

I haven't found much trouble with Windows 7 with this computer. It seems to respond well to normal tasks. Well, it does now that I replaced an abnormally slow hard drive with one of the same model.
I'll ask other questions separately.
