I am currently trying to get the touchscreen working on my acer travelMate c310.  Unfortunately, I reinstalled XP, because I couldn't find a copy of XP Tablet edition.  Is there a way to get drivers to get this to work?

I have, and I downloaded and installed all drivers for the machine, didn't work.  are there generic drivers?

Did you make sure to force those drivers for the display? Can you provide a model number?

Acer TravelMate c310.  I didn't see any drivers that would make it a touch screen unless the VGA display driver would do it.. What do you mean "Force those drivers for the display"

I installed every driver that is compatible from the acer website. :) I figured if I just installed all of them, one of them would work..

What do you have listed in the device manager for input devices and for display? See if it is even using your drivers. If not update the driver and choose the advanced option of let me chose the driver from a list.. or something along that line and see if shows up there. Also, I just downloaded the VGA and touchpad driver and the read me's dont seem to refer to a rtouch screen.

For Display I am using Nvidia Gforce Go 6200 and I don't even have an option for input devices.... I didn't see anything on the website that referred to a touch screen either... I'm a little lost at this point.

I figured it out.  I had to find the manufacturer of the actual screen, which for me was Wacom.  I got the touchscreen working. Now I guess, a new question is this.  Can I put handwriting recognition on this bad boy if it is just XP Pro?
