Lost Password HP jetdirect 610N

How can i reset the password on a jetdirect 610n in a HP LJ 8150? I did a cold reset on it the networking info was reset but i still cannot configure it via the web interface. How can i acomplish this?

It should automatically reset the password after a cold reset.  You cannot configure as in access is denied I assume?  Have you tried to use telnet to get into it?

That is correct. I cannot access the network configuration page via the web interface. I am able to telnet into the device but I do not know the password. I have tried admin with no password and admin admin without success. Is there a default password for the telnet interface after a cold reset? If there is I do not know it.

Don't quote me on this, but I seem to remember years ago that I had this issue, and typing a 0 at the password prompt would remove any password after a cold reset - in telnet that is.  But that should do the same thing as a cold reset, which you've already done, and already seemed to work since the network settings were cleared.  I'd do the reset a few more times just to be safe as well.

Not sure about the jet card but to reset the passowrd on the printer web interface you need to do an NVRAM reset.
