How can i replace an internal nand flash memory (4gb on a mini camera)

I have to mini cameras both of them have internal nand flash memory with a capacity of 4gb. One of the cameras are dead. Is there any way for me to take the flash memory out and put it on the similar working camera for recovering my files?

In short the answer is yes but it may either be easy if you find that the memory is removable or close to impossible if you find it is soldered in place. Ultimately you need to take the camera apart and find the memory.

what camera do you have (name/model/type/ manufactured year) ?

yes you can do that. however if you are not used to solder this might get tricky. what camera model do you have? and what is the exact type of your flash memory?

1)you do not say if the cameras are "identical"... but even if they look like they are their processors might have different revisions, then if the flash also holds uP code you won't be able to boot the "working" camera with the new chip.

2)If both chips are 4Gig but they are slightly different model or brand you won't boot, Flash chips requiere special libraries for every processor model in order to read and write data, when you put a new flash chip the uP doesn't know how to read it.

3) the faulty camera might've also got its flash corrupted
