We have a user who has a RIM handheld device from T-Mobile. We do not use BES. We have the device configured through T-Mobile with an e-mail address like this: firstname.lastname@tmo.blackberry.net. We have a contact card with that e-mail address in it in Exchange. All e-mail destined for this user is forwarded to that e-mail address and is delivered locally to the mailbox.
In the case of two particular e-mails, they arrived on his BlackBerry but did not show up in his mailbox. Using Message Tracking we can see when the messages in question were received, delivered locally, then forwarded to an outside source (his contact card).
What could cause an e-mail to just disappear from a user's mailbox when it was clearly forwarded successfully after being received?
