iCalendar on Blackberry?

I am deploying a helpdesk package that allows you to view tech calendars, and it also has the option to subscribe.  

I'd like to know how I can end up with the calendar entries on my blackberry.  I'm not using exchange or notes, and I'm not using BES.  Actually, it would be best for now if this could be done completely without a server (not desktop redirect).

My thought was to have Google calendar subscribe to my helpdesk calendar, and then use the built in Google mobile sync to get it to my Blackberry.  However, it errors out.  I copied the address for a calendar link and it said it failed because "Could not fetch the url because robots.txt prevents us from crawling the url".

Now, does that look like something integrated with the product?  or something they added since that is from their online demo?

In short, my helpdesk supports iCalendar subscriptions, how can I get those on my Blackberry?
