How to password protect a memory card on blackberry?

Asked by master_windu in Blackberry Operating System, Miscellaneous Security, Handhelds and PDAs

I do not own or use a blackberry device but users in my organization do.  We are planning to enforce rules on the blackberry enterprise server to require users to protect their devices with a password.

My understanding is that the only way to password protect a removable memory card is for the user to do it themselves locally on the device.

I will need to come up with documentation showing them what they need to do to assign a password to the contents of their memory card.

Can someone tell me how this is done or provide a link.
