Setup Blackberry Enterprise server with Exchange 2007

I have an Exchange 2007 on my existing environment and I'm planning to setup a Blackberry Enterpriser Server (BES)

I'm wondering how the blackberry handheld sychnrozie with the BES. When I take a look on one of the existing handheld, it need me for the email and password to connect to the BES. However, no password is needed. How could the blackberry handheld connect to the BES , without the IP address ??
