The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Blackberry devices show different numbers of unread mails than outlook

Asked by Grover247 in Blackberry Operating System

Hi,
I have a number of users (around 12) who have 8310 devices. I am running Blackberry manager through Blackberry Pro 4.1.4.15. on a BES. It is on the same segment of the network as the exchange server (which sadly is still on version 5.5 for another couple of months until we finally go AD). I am one of the users affected but it affects all users in differing capacities. My outlook (2003 running over the 5.5 server) reports to me that I have 4 mails unread. My berry tells me I have 12 mails unread. I have set the period to keep mails on the berry to 3 months and have no unopened mails over two months anyway. If I wipe and reload the device, it starts off fine and then over the course of around a week, a difference starts to appear and it gets to a certain amount of difference and then stays (can be any number from 3 to 10 so far) and nothing I do seems to fix it.
I have tried deleting and resending service books
I have tried doing lots of reconcile nows
I have tried turning wireless reconciliation off and on again.
I have tried email reconciliation where delete occurs on both devices, wireless reconcile has been tried on and off, on conflicts mailbox wins and all that seems to happen is it does what it likes and gets everyone angry.

Can anyone suggest anything else I can check or try to get things sorted please?
My senior management team want answers fast as they want to be sure the berries are reporting correctly so they have peace of mind that they are getting and responding to all relevant mail properlyStart Free Trial
