Blackberry with Exchange 2003

Hi,

We have a blackberry phone which came with the Exchange Enterprise software. We have installed the enterprise software on the mail server, but unable to proceed from there on how to configure the blackberry to sync with exchange.

It is easy to configure the windows mobile and iphone but Blackberry is a little confusing. If anyone can provide help on the same it would be highly appreciated.

After installing the BES server on your Exchange server then open up the management console for the BES on the Exchange box and add a user accepting the default settings.  The user will then get an email in outlook with instructions.
By the way you also get one free complementary support call with the server.

scottoleson is absolutely correct in implying the instruction must be followed exactly to have BES work, it is VERY picky.  So if you just put in the CD and ran setup you may have to start over.
Hi,

We had performed the pre-installation steps as per the given guide but the user is also showing ok. The Blackberry Manager on the server is showing fine but unable to move from there. The steps on the server seems to be fine but from there unable to proceed. I am sure the setup on the server is perfectly correct.

I will still check all the steps on the server tonight, and confirm if anything missing.
Hi

Now there is an added issue. I had added the user and was showing the user ok, but when I was unable to sync it I thought of deleting the user and adding him again. The issue is that now whenever I try to add the user, it shows the error Cannot add, due to license restriction, but when adding only for one user, it should at least let me add one user. You can check the error on the Picture below.

check and make sure that the user is not listed under the "users pending delete" tab.  also under the blackberry domain check the global tab --> account --> license management.  This will tell you how many cal's are available.
Thank you for the solution
