Problem solved. The IMAP service wasn't started on the server.

Browse All TopicsI have a BlackBerry Tour that interfaces with a BES server for my work e-mail. I had been syncing a personal e-mail account using BIS, when it was hosted with GoDaddy. I have since moved my personal e-mail account to an Exchange 2007 server I host on my home network.
When I attempt to update the settings in BIS (server name, password, etc), it errors out with a message saying "An error occurred during e-mail account validation".
Is it possible to do what I want it to do?

I seem to have gotten it working through OWA. I guess I need to get IMAP running correctly on Exchange, since IMAP was how my personal e-mail was syncing to the BlackBerry (both the Tour and a preceding 8830). I've got both IMAP ports (143 and 993) mapped to my server. But, it still doesn't like it.
