Wouldn't that require resetting up all the blackberries?
Main Topics
Browse All TopicsWe currently have an Exchange 2007 SP1 and BES 4.1.6.15 Server.
At this juncture, our BES hasn't received any updates from AD. It just started happening so we are unable to add new users at this point.
We have tried the trick with deleting the profiles from the registry and recreated via EDIT mapi with no joy.
Anyone else have other suggestions?

Hi,
try going into owa with your BESadmin account and see if you can find your new users there. If you can see them than the problem is rather with the database then with the server or mapi profiles itself. You can also try the IEMStest tool that is located in c:/program files/blackberry enterprise server/tools. choose either profile and see if you can find your users there. Do you have segregated GAL perhaps?
best regards
Hi,
could you check if the user you are looking for has Hide from GAL option checked in Exchange? Did you reset the bes server when this started? If you cannot find the user in OWA than the problem is not with your database but with your exchange server. Can you create a new besadmin account and change the besadmin account for the server? There is a kb from blackberry on how to do that.

Are other users able to see the new users in GAL?
best regards
I'm running BES 5.0 (Exchange) now and there's an option to "refresh available user list from company directory" that forces the BES to retrieve complete GAL listing.... Is there such option in 4.1.x for you to try?
That option solved numerous "user missing" issue for me.
Sorry, we are going from BES 4.1.x GroupWise straight to BES 5.0 Exchange so no experience in 4.1.x Exchange BES.

Using the link above we tested all our GC's in the farm and found there were 2 OLD DC's still in Active Directory Sites and Services that needed to be deleted from each of the remote servers, then we had to update the replication server and manually replicate.
Once that was done, all was well.
