Cannot Logon to BES 5 Administration Service Console

I am not able to log on to the Blackberry Enterprise Server 5.0 Administration Service Console using the BESADMIN domain account. It comes up with the following error even though I am inputting the correct information:
"The username, password, or domain is not correct. Please correct the entry"

This is (I believe) after one of my DCs crashed.

Background:
I recenty had a domain controller crash. This DC held the PDC Emulator role and also the primary DNS server for our PCs.
DNS Zone is AD Intergrated.

Domain : Windows 2000
BES 5.0 running on Windows 2003 member server

Your best bet is to re-install BAS to see if that picks up the new AD schema and then recognises your BESAdmin username/password.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks Jonny.

I would like to leave the re-installation of BES as a last resort.

Hi,

Can you login as the Blackberry Administration service admin? If you can logon as the blackberry administration service admin then go to Blackberry Solution topology -> Blackberry Domain -> component view -> Blackberry Administration Service -> LDAP authentication and retype the password for the account that you use to make a ldap search. If this doesn't help please apply the maintainance release pathes from 1 to 3 and see if that helps.
There is a KB article on the blackberry page about your problem or a similar one:

best regards

Jonny- thanks for the clarification.

I shall try that out in the next day or two and let you know of the result.
Thanks Jonny - I am able to login to BES now. I did not actually re-install BAS but your suggestions actually pointed me towards fixing it. What I did was, I just tried logging on to BAS with a different account and after it failed I reverted to the BESADMIN account and this time it was successful.
