Why won't Blackberry Enterprise Server Express install ?
We have downloaded BES Express 5.0 for Exchange and tried to install it. We followed the steps online to create the besadmin user with all the appropriate rights and also allowed the "log on locally" setting etc.
The first part of the installation works fine where it asks you to create an SQL Express installation etc and then reboots the server. When the server reboots and we log on to the server as besadmin the installation continues and asks for the CAL and SRP details. This is accepted and then progresses to the next stage.
This is the MAPI settings section. We enter the name of the Exchange 2007 server and also specify the besadmin user and it resolves the mailbox name. However, when we click on next an error appears stating "An unexpected error occurred. Refer to the installation log file for more information". When we look in the installation log there is nothing in there that suggests why this is happening. A screenshot of this error has been provided.
Can anyone offer any advice as to how we can fix this ?
Many thanks in advance

Are you installing on the same machine as Exchange?

Hi and thanks for your post,
Yes, we are installing on the same machine as the Exchange 2007 server. This machine is Windows Server 2008 64-bit with Service Pack 2

IPv6 had to be disabled
