The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

BlackBerry 7230 Mailbox Wireless Sync Problem with Corporate Exchange 2000 Server

Asked by plemieux72 in Handhelds and PDAs, Blackberry Operating System

Hi,

I have this BlackBerry 7230 user with T-Mobile who has problems with wirelessly synching with her Exchange 2000 server mailbox running BlackBerry Enterprise.  Hope someone can help.

Here are the details:

- BlackBerry Desktop Manager version 3.6.2.9 SP2 on her laptop
- Latest handheld firmware downloaded and installed from T-Mobile web site

Calendar wireless sync works fine.

There are two problems:

1)  When user deletes an email from the handheld, it does not delete on the Exchange inbox until she chooses "Reconcile Now".  Is this not supposed to be automatic?
2)  When she deletes email from her Exchange inbox (she is using Outlook 2003), it syncs with the handheld automatically unless she MOVES the message from the inbox to a PST file on her laptop hard drive.  This causes an overaccumulation of email messages on her BlackBerry that need to then be deleted manually which is quite an intensive task.  As a workaround, I instructed her to copy the mail from the inbox to the PST and then delete the mail from the inbox.  However, there HAS to be a better way!  Plus, her handheld inbox is already way out-of-sync.

I am not familiar with BlackBerry devices as I don't own one.  Please help!  I also can not find any already posted thread with this exact scenario.

Thanks
